Vice Principal

I am proud to be Scott Lane’s Assistant Principal. Before being at Scott Lane, I worked for over twenty years across six schools and three Bay Area districts. I  began my career as a classroom teacher for grades K–8 and had the opportunity and gain experience teaching children at different ages, as well as the scope in sequence of the curriculum that is taught at every grade level.  During this time, I was able to mentor over 30 bilingual educators who were working towards their teaching credential. I was also an instructional coach for over five years, where I had the opportunity to write a language arts curriculum both in English and Spanish with a team of educators, as well as providing professional development to teachers across the district.  During this time, I served as an induction coach to teachers who were working on their credentials.  As a first-generation college graduate, I deeply value education, respect, and the opportunities an education has provided me, and I am passionate about providing that opportunity to all students at Scott Lane. Being a multilingual learner myself, it is important for me to relate with my students and ensure I provide and support a school culture that is joyful, inclusive, and supportive, where students, parents, and staff can grow and thrive to their full potential.

I believe that this begins by me building strong relationships, collaboration, and building mutual respect to achieve success. I am inspired by the curiosity and uniqueness every child has, and to create a school community where all students feel seen, heard.

In my time away from work, I  enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter, traveling to places where we can travel, camp, hike, and ride our bikes.  I also  spend time with my parents and four siblings and their families.
